Muntham House School has taken the decision to postpone the event on Friday 18 October at the School. We do hope this news doesn't affect you too greatly, as the team at Muntham House are keen to amalgamate this SEN event with their Annual Conference on 01 May 2020.

Michelle has worked at Muntham for 14 years across the key stages.
She started as learning support for teachers, has taught primary and SMSC, developed the pastoral support department, lead international schools partnerships and delivered outreach to affiliate schools. Michelle now coordinates mental health and well-being provision at the school.
PASSIONATE ABOUT...
Michelle has delivered training and workshops at Engage, SEBDA, NASS and Muntham regional conferences and local colleges. She's hugely proud to be part of the Muntham community.
Shane Kenny
Assistant Head Teacher
PRESENTING:
Preparing KS4 & 5 students for the world of work and tracking progress
EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
Shane is currently Muntham's Assistant Head, running their 14-19 provision. He also teaches ICT to all key stages and responsible for implementing and managing the ICT curriculum across the school.
He is in the process of finalising a 'Work Life Ready' wheel and programme, an initiative that helps young people develop the skills and qualifications necessary to move onto a career path that is academically and emotionally beneficial.

Shane is passionate about helping young people with learning difficulties obtain the confidence and support they need to gain the same career and vocational opportunities as mainstream pupils.
Lance Bolton
STEM and Lego Teacher
PRESENTING:

EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
Lance qualified as a teacher of Design and Technology in 2013 from the University of Brighton. After working in state maintained schools he looked to work in a school that offered a diverse curriculum.
PASSIONATE ABOUT...
Working at Mumtham House School allows Lance to deliver Lego education and therefore the teaching of STEM subjects. Through STEM, and Lego, he's able to help students develop focus, problem solving skills, confidence and raise their self-esteem. The idea of learning through play using lego is something he strongly believes in and seeks to pass onto his students.
Shona Puttick
Speech and Language Specialist

EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
Shona Puttick has been working with SEMH pupils at Muntham House School for 17 years running Speech and Language interventions. She recently completed a diploma specialising in Communication Impairment at The University of Sheffield and is currently studying toward a Psychology Degree.

Improving the social and communication skills of young people with learning difficulties.
Shona works with Lego as a tool to help build language. She believes it to be a fantastic way to encourage children to communicate positively, with a practical and fun focus.
Shiraz Showk
Pre-Primary Lead Teacher
PRESENTING:

EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
Shiraz is a qualified teacher, Inclusion Leader and trainee Psychotherapist with half a Masters in Psychology.
She has professional and lived experience of children with developmental trauma and attachment difficulties.

Shiraz is a passionate believer in the benefits of early intervention and holistic, relational and therapeutic approaches to learning and development
She is a proud campaigner of the need to establish a comprehensive curriculum and assessment culture that will attend to and address the needs of the increasing cohort of vulnerable young people in this societal climate.
