Mick Walker, former director of QCA & DfE adviser
Mick will examine what we have learned since the removal of national attainment levels and the opportunities and challenges still facing schools.

Simon Smith, Headteacher, East Whitby Primary School
Simon will share his journey on implementing the NAHT assessment principles and how this has improved the quality of teaching and learning. He will highlight the importance of professional dialogue to get teachers and parents to embrace the changes.
3:15pm – Secondary Focus
Nick House, Headteacher, Greenshaw High School & Multi-academy Trust
Hear how assessment without levels has been rolled out across a large secondary academy group. Nick will provide an open and honest account of the challenges faced but also share the impact this has had on students and teachers. Find out how Greenshaw support transitions from primary school and the academy's vision for the future of assessment.

Mick Walker, Former Director of the QCA & DfE Advisor
Mick's teaching career has extended over 18 years.
Throughout his career he has been closely associated with assessment system holding posts of chief examiner and moderator.
Simon Smith, Head Teacher, East Whitby Primary School
Simon's leadership led East Whitby from requires improvement to good.
At their last inspection Ofsted praised how East Whitby tracked and monitored pupil progress.
Nick House, Headteacher, Greenshaw High School & ,Multi-academy Trust
Greenshaw High School in Sutton is part of the multi-academy Greenshaw Learning Trust.
Nick is leading the academy through its assessment journey.
