FrogConnect
FrogConnect, a feature of FrogLearn, enables schools to offer single-sign-on (SSO) between instances of FrogLearn. Schools simply copy Sites from one Frog to another and even display Sites from one Frog inside another!
This flexibility enables rich interaction across schools, withstanding geographical boundaries.
FrogConnect allows schools to share content and information
Consider three ways that the technology is used within a group of schools...
CONNECTION 1
All Frog schools within a Multi-Academy Trust can be connected to a Trust Portal. This portal provides a central point for all policies, documents and information. This content can be automatically shared to all connected schools.
Each connected school can send analytics and reports up to the Trust portal, ensuring data is visible centrally.
CONNECTION 2
Frog schools can be connected to each other directly. This method allows staff to SSO from their Frog into another, without worrying about extra login details. This proves a great way to collaborate, seeing resources in action.
Teachers can work in more than one of the schools within a Multi-Academy Trust and students can attend classes across their Trust.
CONNECTION 3
Not all schools in your Trust need to have FrogLearn to benefit from shared communications, central policies and information. Staff at schools without Frog can log into and gain access to all collateral within the Trust Portal.
Finham Park MAT is a Trust of 5 schools.
Each school has their own FrogLearn instance and there is a central portal running as an additional instance. Teachers log into their own Frog and use this space to access resources and set homework.
Setting the standard
The Trust Portal is accessed via a prominent link on the Staff Dashboard, this opens Frog in a new tab and provides approved access to all areas of the Trust.
The Trust use Frog as their appraisal system which includes shared CPD event booking (using Frog forms).
Collaboration
The Finham Park MAT portal includes collaboration spaces for planning and there is an additional Frog instance used by the Trust for Teacher Training. Trainees from outside the Trust can access this space to find resources and add evidence to their training objectives.
Inclusive
Any schools inside the Trust without Frog can still log into a central platform directly. The Trust Exec team can SSO into each school to view resources, check analytics, homework setting etc…
Raising standards across a group of schools
Tollbar Family of Academies is a Trust of 12 schools. Teachers at the central academy have a wealth of resources and lesson plans which are hosted on a central Trust platform. Each school has SSO access and teachers create sites at class level to interact with their students using central lesson plans for teaching.
Communication
A central hub enables a controlled flow of messages shared within your network of schools.
In the case of Tollbar Multi Academy Trust , a communication dashboard is embedded in each school. Frog admins at Tollbar Academy manage all their Frog platforms from a central team.
More trust-wide collaboration
The Education and Leadership Trust is a Trust of 3 schools in Manchester. These schools use FrogConnect to copy resources across the Trust. One set of sites made in one school can be copied (on request) to the others. A key area for them is teacher training, this helps retain good teachers and ensure great teaching practices across the trust for a positive impact on student results.
Centralised Analytics
A central analytics dashboard gives a view of activity within every connected school. Easily identify what is working well and highlight any areas for improvement.
