Maintaining Standards

FrogProgress has been designed to make it really simple for teachers to submit new suggestions for improved exemplar standards:

FrogProgress

Because teachers can constantly be submitting suggestions, it is important that standardisation becomes part of the culture of your school and periodic meetings are scheduled to review the standards (once or twice a year – whatever is best for you).

In the same style as the first meeting, put the new standard on the table and have a debate. If the new is accepted, you can unapproved or delete the old one in the locker and approve the new one, or even just add the new one to the file and leave the old one there!

The tech is simple – the debate and decision in not.

Standardisation will ensure consistency in assessment throughout your school and underpins the simple snapshot way of flagging problems and the streamlined framework of KPIs.

Take the time to raise your standards, and create time to focus on your students – deep learning not data!
